Our hearts and prayers go out to all of those impacted, both directly and indirectly, by the tornadoes that hit Texas and Oklahoma.   We know that there are so many people hurting, depressed, angry, upset and confused about the recent events that have transpired in the past few months.   Even in the face of unspeakable sadness, we take comfort in GOD's word and in knowing that the Lord GOD Almighty still sits on the Throne - that He remains in complete control of all that has been, is and will be.  We will continue to seek GOD for His continued love, wisdom, protection and His mercy on our city, the country and the world.  Let us keep our Texas and Oklahoma brothers and sisters lifted up in prayer.

Congratulations to our very own Whitney Billings, who is not only a prestigious second year All American volleyball star for the University of Kentucky Wildcats - she also has the wonderful honor of being one of only 48 collegiate volleyball players chosen from across the country to serve as a member of the U.S.  Womens National A2 Team.  She is one of only three athletes for the Southeastern Conference (SEC) selected for this team.  This is a tremendous opportunity for Whitney as she will train with some of the best volleyball athletes in the country!  We are thrilled, excited and proud of Whitney's accomplishments and are happy to see a future Olympian in our congregation.  We wish her continued success in her endeavors!!  Click the "Info Center" tab to access the article on Whitney's achievements.

In light of the upcoming Memorial Day holiday,  Ladies Fellowship will not be meeting in the month of May.  Fellowship will resume the 4th Saturday in June, 6/22/13, from 2pm to 5pm.  Come join us each 4th Saturday afternoon for a special opportunity to share in Ladies' fellowship and bible study.  Sis. Orelia Thorton serves as the Lead for the Ladies' Fellowship.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Visitors, members - please excuse the inconvenience as we continue embarking on our church renovations.   Wall demolition, sheet rock and ceiling work have started - New lighting, replacement pews, new paint and flooring will follow.  We are very excited at this very important time within our church.  Continue to pray for the success of these renovation efforts.  Thank you to all who are supporting and contributing toward this initiative.

As we end near the end of May 2013, our website has surpassed 721,000 hits!  What a wonderful milestone to achieve as our website continues to be visited by many on the internet!  We pray that our website continues to be a blessing members and non-members alike, for lifting and spreading the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  GOD has blessed this ministry tremendously and we are excited about its expansion and growth in 2013!

On the second Sunday of each month we will have Children's Day.  During this time, the children will be responsible for our worship service.  On each second Sunday, the children will serve as ushers, collect tithes and offers, offer prayer and lead us in our praise and worship.  Please see Youth Director Sis.
